Curbar Village
is an ideal spot to enjoy the Peak District
National Park. In the neighbouring village of Calver there is
a small Spa shop attached to the garage,
a post office, a unique craft centre,
superb café, trekking centre and
a pub (half a mile walk back up the hill
– not for the faint-hearted to walk).

Beautiful Chatsworth
House and Estate, home to the
Duke of Devonshire, is five minutes
away through the next village of Baslow.

The old market town
of Bakewell, famous for
its Bakewell Puddings and antiques and
the historic Plague Village of Eyam
are both ten minutes away.
The fascinating Blue
John Cavern and other caves at
Castleton are only twenty minutes away.
Other local attractions
include Alton Towers
Theme Park near Derby and the ‘Wind
in the Willows’ Theme Park and Factory
Outlet at Rowsley, the
beautiful villages of Edale, Foolow, Ashford-in-the-Water,
Hathersage, Baslow, Derwent, Ashbourne,
Buxton Spa Town, Matlock and Matlock Bath.
An activities
pack in the property is for use
of guests. It lists places of local interest,
happenings, shopping, Stately Homes, pubs,
restaurants and local fare.
