Bakewell Shopping

The nearest village shop, an excellent deli, is to be found in the next village at Ashford-in-the Water, two miles away in the direction of Bakewell.

Bakewell, the local Market Town, has many specialist shops, restaurants, food, clothing, antiques, gifts and décor. A small supermarket is close to the central car park.

Chatsworth Farm Shop at Pilsley Village run by the Duchess of Devonshire is a delight with excellent butchery, cheese, vegetable and specialist food counters.

Craft Shops and a Coffee House complete the complex.

Stay for lunch at the Devonshire Arms 150 yards down the main street or book for the evening carvery Thursday to Saturday or Sunday lunch (you must book).
Chesterfield Market
Major shopping centres with Department Stores are to be found in Chesterfield (10 miles) and Sheffield (15 miles) and at Meadowhall Shopping Centre.
